Our Mission
Is to provide you with a clearer understanding of your child and the struggles they might be experiencing, and work with you to develop a plan of specific and comprehensive recommendations.
We are a group of neuropsychologists who want to help families when they have concerns about their child’s learning, behavioral, emotional or social functioning. We want to find out more about what questions you are trying to answer, and use that information to design an evaluation aimed to answer those questions. In addition to testing, the evaluation includes interview and history gathering, input from teachers, and review of records. We also consult with your child’s school and other treatment providers. In our experience, all of this is needed to provide you with a full understanding of what is going on, and identify effective interventions for your child. Here is a sample of specific conditions we assess:
ADHD, LD/Dyslexia
Nonverbal Learning Disability
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Language Disorders

Traumatic Brain Injury, Including Concussion
Social & Emotional Functioning Concerns
Assessment for Post-High School Transition
Admissions Testing
Our Goal
Is to help you build a roadmap that is developmentally focused and will guide you in obtaining help for your child.
In our practice, the “Developmental” part of Developmental Neuropsychology Associates is key to our understanding of children, adolescents, and adults. We think beyond “just the numbers”. We consider our test findings in view of your child’s age, and what we know to be typical for someone their age in terms of their cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning. Then we put that in the context of what we know about your family, school, community, and culture.

Our Vision
Is to build a collaborative working relationship with you that extends past the evaluation.
This means that even after the evaluation has been completed, we hope to remain a consultant to you and your child over time. This might include helping you find treatment providers that are a good match for your child and your family, joining you at a school meeting, providing a re- evaluation when appropriate, or just being available to answer a question that might come up about how your child is doing.
